HEAH: Open Routes For All Learners

Meet the Team

Shellisha Shann – CEO & Founding Director -Therapeutic Learning and Inclusion

Shellisha is a qualified coach, creative facilitator, community educator, registered social worker, and  CEO and founder of HEAH: Open Routes CIC.

She is passionate about empowering others to live in alignment with their values and combines therapeutic coaching with creativity and embodied practices to support well-being, learning, purpose, and growth.

HEAH was born from personal experience. In the lead-up to withdrawing her child from mainstream education due to ongoing challenges - including repeated sanctions, a lack of understanding, and unmet emotional and learning needs - Shellisha felt she had no choice but to create something different. Despite her child’s bright and creative nature, they were constantly misunderstood. As a parent, Shellisha often felt alone, like no one was truly “here” to guide her.

Rather than wait for something better, she built it.

HEAH is her response to a system that too often labels before it listens. With over a decade of experience across education, youth services, coaching and community development, Shellisha created a model that meets learners where they are - one that is rooted in care, creativity, and trauma-informed practice.

Shellisha is a trauma informed practitioner and holds a BA in Education, Culture & Society, a Level 5 Diploma to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS), is a registered social worker, qualified substance misuse counsellor and qualified Level 3 personal trainer. Through HEAH, she brings all of this together -  creating the kind of provision she once needed, and making sure no child or family is left without support, options, or hope.

Tia Love - Director of Partnerships and Compliance

Tia brings a dynamic blend of business acumen and community dedication to our team. As a skilled Compliance Officer and successful entrepreneur, Tia is the innovative mind behind a male grooming company and a teeth whitening company. Beyond her business ventures, Tia is deeply committed to empowering the next generation, regularly delivering impactful self-care workshops to youth and the wider community.

Tia's personal lived experiences perfectly align with and underscore HEAH's core missions and values, providing a powerful testament to her dedication to well-being and community upliftment.

Sashine Skeen- Director of Community Outreach and Engagement

Sashine is a highly experienced NHS Senior Social Worker with a profound understanding of community well-being. Her expertise is further enriched by an extensive background in youth and community work, where she has dedicated her career to supporting individuals and families holistically.

Beyond her professional qualifications, Sashine brings a unique empathetic perspective, drawn from her personal lived experience of supporting a family member through the complexities of mainstream education and addressing unmet needs.

This dual understanding - professional and personal - allows Sashine to approach challenges with both clinical insight and deep compassion, making her a valuable asset to our team and the community she serves.
